Augmented Reality (AR) is a fascinating technology that recognize objects of the physical world in real time and merges them with a content of the digital world, creating an enriched experience beyond reality.

In recent years, as the Augmented Reality technology gets mature and the mobile smart devices become more powerful in terms of computing processing and public availability, there have been an increasing interest among the scientific community to study the potential use and effects of the AR in education. Any smart mobile device (tablet or phone) running Android (from version 2.3.1 and up) or iOS (from version 8.0 and up) operative system. We recommend a minimum configuration of 512 of RAM, a processor ARMv7 (Cortex) CPU or Atom CPU and OpenGL ES 2.0, which almost any low profile smartphone or tablet from today has.

PleIQ is recommended for children between 3 and 8 years. Nevertheless, it could be used for children younger than 3 as an assisted toy (to play with the help of their parents) and for children older than 8, since the experiences will be still cool to play with!

Currently, PleIQ experiences are available in English and Spanish, but we will look forward to expanding it to other languages.

PleIQ has 48 initial Augmented Reality learning experiences, between the interactive alphabet and numbers, and the challenges/games. It is within our plans to expand the PleIQ universe, subscribe to our newsletter and keep informed.
